The weather in San Pedro de Atacama shows classic caracteristics of a high desert, with sun all over the year, by night temperatures can reach even under zero degrees, and minimum humidity levels, with a warm and salty breeze.

In summertime (december to february) the higest temperatures during the day are around the average of 27° degrees celcius, reaching even 30° celcius, in the other hand by night goes down until 16°celcius. During the winter (june to agoust) this temperatures goes between 22°celcius during the day and 4° celsius in average by night, getting down even until -8 degrees.

The short rain season takes place between january to march and is well known as "Altiplanic winter".
